Week of May 25th-29th

Happy Memorial Day!

Special's plans will be forwarded if they contain attachments.

I cannot believe this is the end of our year together. I am so proud of each and every one of you for working so hard and adapting to the e-learning adjustments over the past few months. I am very sorry that our time was cut short, but I know that you are all prepared and ready for second grade! Please, please remember to stop by our room to say hello to me in September and I look forward to giving you all a big hug! Lucky for me, I will get to see each and every one of you on your way to the bathroom everyday!!!  I really will miss you all so much next year in room 11! You've been a great class and we've had so much fun learning together. I will miss our after lunch Junie B stories most of all! Reading with all of you brought us lots of laughs!

Parents, we are at the end of our books. Over the summer, please use the few remaining lessons as enrichment. As always, we require reading with your child over the summer. Beginning chapter books are strongly recommended. Most importantly is that your child is reading a book that is interesting them . Ask them questions about what they have read. Ask the why questions and the higher level questions to get them to think critically.

There will be no new sight words this week - We are working to finish the ELA Unit "Cinderella" from the short week, last week.

I have a huge favor for those that are interested!!! I promised a friend that my first graders would make a birthday card for her Aunt who will be turning "99" on Thursday. She resides at Bellingham and the cards will bring her much joy and happiness when she opens up all of her mail on Thursday. This will have to be done on Tuesday so they can be mailed. Sorry for the short notice. Her name is:
