Week of September 30th-October 4th

No new words this week for the W copybook. Study words so far and put these words on flashcards to keep practicing! Get on Starfall.com this week to practice your phonics and reading! Read every night and write in your 40 book challenge! Religion test on chapter 2 Tuesday! No school Wednesday due to teacher inservice! Monday Math pp. 85, 86. Reread chapter 2 for religion test tomorrow!  Complete pg. 44 in Religion book. Tuesday Math pp. 91, 92 due Thursday!! Read "Jill Can!" story in take home folder. review short i and sound of x making the ks sound Wednesday No school! Thursday Math pp. 97, 98. Gym tomorrow!

Week of September 23rd-27th

Math test chapter 1 test Tuesday! Benchmark reading test Tuesday! Skills are reviewed in class.  Please practice short a words, final ck, and high frequency words in story Jack and Dad Pack.  New words for this week are: she, up, take, what Mission Wednesday- please bring in $ for our weekly mission collection . Continue to bring in permission slips. I will pick 2 chaperones this week for our trip!  Thursday we will be making applesauce to celebrate Johnny Appleseed! Please bring in an apple or 2 cut up and put  in a ziplock bag on Thursday! Lia is our  star student of the week! She will decorate her butterfly this week and bring it back on Friday to share with the class! Monday Reread  Jack and Dad Pack in your take home folder to review for test tomorrow! Week of September 16th-20th

Word -Work copybook homework starts this week! Words are: my, come, on, in, way Cover WW copybook and take home folder to keep it sturdy!! Our take home folders will not hold up if its not covered! Religion test on chapter 1 Thursday! Practice blessing yourself at home with Mom and Dad! Books will come home Tuesday and Wednesday night to study! Readables are in take home folder , Practice reading this week. Write the title of the book and sign the paper when book has been read. Return readable on Friday!  Pictures tomorrow! Wear school uniforms.  Mission Wednesday- Every week we are collecting coins for missions!  Peanut Butter and Jelly drive is going on until October 4th! Student of the week is Paloma! She will decorate an All about Me butterfly, bring it back to school on Friday and share it with the class. Week of September 9th-13th

Happy first full week of school! Our library day is Monday! Books are often forgotten so try and remember to put them in backpacks over the weekend! Please send back your child's patron saint for your 8th grade buddy project! Covering books that come home on a regular basis with clear contact is highly recommended ! Especially the traveling folder, math book, religion book , word work copybook, and 40 book challenge! School mass Friday at 9:00. All are welcome to join us! Math homework will begin this week! As soon as I get them, First in Math logins will be taped to your child's take home folder on the leave home side. The children have to be entered into the system so it may a week or so.  I encourage you to have the kids practice basic facts and take advantage of this program! Readables will be sent home next week! Keep the book home all week to practice fluency. Write the title of the readable on the line and sign so I know that a parent listened to their child
