Math test chapter 1 test Tuesday!

 Benchmark reading test Tuesday! Skills are reviewed in class. 
Please practice short a words, final ck, and high frequency words in story Jack and Dad Pack. 

 New words for this week are: she, up, take, what

 Mission Wednesday- please bring in $ for our weekly mission collection .

 Continue to bring in permission slips. I will pick 2 chaperones this week for our trip! 

 Thursday we will be making applesauce to celebrate Johnny Appleseed! Please bring in an apple or 2 cut up and put  in a ziplock bag on Thursday!

 Lia is our  star student of the week! She will decorate her butterfly this week and bring it back on Friday to share with the class!


 Monday
Reread  Jack and Dad Pack in your take home folder to review for test tomorrow!
Write words 2X each in W copybook.
Review math workbook pages for test tomorrow!

 Tuesday
Write words in Alphabetical order order!

 Math pp. Do journal page 68B in new math book. Keep chapter 1 book home and put in a safe place !! You will need those  completed books to review for final exams in June.


 Wednesday
Write a sentence for each word in your "W" copybook.
Math pp. 73, 74.

 Thursday
Write a creative story using your high frequency words.
Math pp. 79, 80.

Week of May 4th-8th

Happy May! We are in the homestretch with only 17 more academic days left until the end of the year. We are off on   5/ 21, 5/22, and 5/25. Last day of e-learning is 5/29. May 11th was supposed to be our field trip to the zoo so we will be doing animal-related activities. Hopefully, everyone had an opportunity to pick up their supplies in the Narthax over the weekend. Daily Zoom sessions at 9:30 for math and teaching of new concepts in ELA. Monday Math lesson 10.5 -  reading tally charts pp. 599-604.  ELA - New words this week are: give, surprise, would, enjoy, worry, about. Write words 2X each in your "W" copybook. Preview our new story, Mama's Birthday Present in unit 4 by looking at pp. 12. Discuss what it means to treasure something. Share ideas about surprises and talk about how a surprise can be a treasure. Look at pp. 14 and 15 and find all the pictures that have the long a sound.
