Benchmark reading test Tuesday! Skills are reviewed in class.
Please practice short a words, final ck, and high frequency words in story Jack and Dad Pack.

New words for this week are: she, up, take, what

Mission Wednesday- please bring in $ for our weekly mission collection .

Continue to bring in permission slips. I will pick 2 chaperones this week for our trip!

Thursday we will be making applesauce to celebrate Johnny Appleseed! Please bring in an apple or 2 cut up and put in a ziplock bag on Thursday!

Lia is our star student of the week! She will decorate her butterfly this week and bring it back on Friday to share with the class!

Monday
Reread Jack and Dad Pack in your take home folder to review for test tomorrow!
Write words 2X each in W copybook.
Review math workbook pages for test tomorrow!

Tuesday
Write words in Alphabetical order order!

Math pp. Do journal page 68B in new math book. Keep chapter 1 book home and put in a safe place !! You will need those completed books to review for final exams in June.

Wednesday
Write a sentence for each word in your "W" copybook.
Math pp. 73, 74.

Thursday
Write a creative story using your high frequency words.
Math pp. 79, 80.

New Years 2020 week!

Happy New Year! Best wishes for a happy , healthy 2020! We will ease into the new year slowly!!! Friday mass at 9:00. All are welcome! Gym tomorrow! Don't forget library books for room 11 Monday! Put them in your backpacks tonight! No homework tonight! Mrs. Clarke's class will log onto room 11's blog for homework and announcements until she returns from maternity leave. I hope you and your family had a wonderful Easter Please keep in mind that along with these assignments you are also strongly encouraged to: ~Go on first in Math ~Practice all sight words from the year ~Practice puzzles ~Go on educational websites - (abcya, startfall, brainpop junior) ~Get daily exercise outside with your family ~Read and write in your 40 book challenge Wednesday - Religion - Complete pages 348, 349 and 350 (Easter - understand that God raised Jesus from the dead and gave him new life. Complete activity on page 348) Math - Begin Lesson 9.7 - Time to the half hour - Complete pages 549, 550, and 551 ELA - ~Fluency -Practice Reading with Expression page 149 in hardback reader ~Look at page 152 and 153 in hardback reader - Find 5 pictures that contain the vowel sound in turn. Say all of the sounds in one of the words. Now find something in this picture that rhymes with twirl . Add the sound /z/ to the end of that word. Say the new word.

Week of May 11th-15th

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing Mother's Day. This week's plans will be a little different than previous weeks. Our ELA activities will focus on animals since it would have been the week we attended our zoo trip. Friday would have been our Spirit day, activities have been planned by student council - Please see the newsletter that was sent out last Thursday for games that your whole family can enjoy! A small animal project will be assigned this week and due by Friday on Flipgrid. The animal project will count for a Reading and Writing grade. Have fun and be creative! There will be no new sight words for this week but please continue to practice all words from previous weeks.
