Math Test Friday on chapter 4

 No new words this week! 

 Merit award dress down tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday!

 Friday is St. Nicholas day and also crazy x-mas dress down even though we have gym! Just wear your sneakers!  Bring mission money for The Ronald McDonald House. Craziest x-mas accessories wins a prize! 

 Santa Letters are due Friday, December 6th! Miss Kennedy's last day is Friday. We are going to have a little party for her too. If you could have your child make a card for her at home and bring it in on Friday. 

 Monday
Math pp. 233, 234.

 Tuesday
Math pp. 239, 240. Ten frame step 2 model is step 1 ten frame rewritten ! They did this to show the kids that a ten was left. This can be confusing so good luck!!!!

 Read "Cans" story in take home folder and review skills.


 Wednesday
Math pp. 245, 246.

 Thursday
Study workbook pages for math test tomorrow!

Week of May 4th-8th

Happy May! We are in the homestretch with only 17 more academic days left until the end of the year. We are off on   5/ 21, 5/22, and 5/25. Last day of e-learning is 5/29. May 11th was supposed to be our field trip to the zoo so we will be doing animal-related activities. Hopefully, everyone had an opportunity to pick up their supplies in the Narthax over the weekend. Daily Zoom sessions at 9:30 for math and teaching of new concepts in ELA. Monday Math lesson 10.5 -  reading tally charts pp. 599-604.  ELA - New words this week are: give, surprise, would, enjoy, worry, about. Write words 2X each in your "W" copybook. Preview our new story, Mama's Birthday Present in unit 4 by looking at pp. 12. Discuss what it means to treasure something. Share ideas about surprises and talk about how a surprise can be a treasure. Look at pp. 14 and 15 and find all the pictures that have the long a sound.
